Discovering and Documenting the Natural World Around You

Our Story
Journaling and researching animals was a big part of Kenzie's childhood, and that's what she lived for the most. She would observe the wildlife in her area, look up facts about them, learn their calls, and sketch them
This part of Foxtrot Artistry is an ode to her childhood, and her unbridled curiosity for wanting to learn everything she could about nature. She invites you to use these journals and observe nature in your own area whether that's around home, or on vacation.
Get to know the wildlife around you by studying behaviors, seasonal migrations, vocalizations, and more, and keep track of your findings in these journals.

About the Field Guides
Features
Continental Collections
Each book/volume is going to be put into collections for each continent, so for example, when all of the volumes for the North American species are finished, the collection for that will be “North American Wildlife”. Each volume will be the “Family” classification for a group of species; Canidae (canines), Felidae (felines), etc. So depending on the family, there will be multiple “Genuses/Genera” in the volumes.
Natural Genetic Variations
One of the focuses of the field guide series is to educate about the different natural coat variations that species can have. While most species look the same to one another, there are rare occurances where they have a different coat color, which makes them look like a different species.
Subspecies
Another focus is educating about the subspecies. Not all Red Foxes are the common Red Fox for example, as each subspecies covers their own range within North America and the rest of the world, with some overlapping populations. Not all wolves are the same, not all cheetahs are the same, the list goes on! Usually the information on subspecies is lumped with the nominate species as a whole, while in reality there can be differences in lifestyle, behavior, diet, and even morphological differences that vary from subspecies to subspecies.
